Fairytale Day

Children in the reception classes had a wonderful day yesterday dressed as their favourite book characters.  Have a look at the pictures on the digital photoframe in the entrance hall.

Year 6 Residential Visit

The Yr 6 children are due back from their residential visit to Boreaton Park, Shropshire, this afternoon.  Despite the rain and the wind, they have had a wonderful time and have enjoyed a range of outdoor and adventurous activities.  Many thanks to the members of staff - Ms Beszant, Mrs Nelson, Mrs Bannister, Mr Tidmarsh, Mrs Hawksworth and Mr Tallett - who have given up their week to accompany them.

Saints Days

Those chilren who are members of the Guiding or Scout organisations are welcome to wear their uniform to school on Monday to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

Easter Services

Our Easter Services will take place on Wednesday 19th March (Infants) and Thursday 20th March (Juniors) at the Parish Church.  The children should please be dropped off at the church at 8.50am rather than brought to the school.  Orchestra will need to have their instruments in school every day next week please.

News from our Parish Church

Tomorrow there will be a Book Sale in the Church Room (by the BMI Club) from 12 noon until 4pm. All proceeds will be given to the Church.

Easter Fund Raising

Each class is taking part in Easter Activities next Tuesday in aid of charity.  We are raising money for the final stage of our sponsorship of Guido, a Peruvian boy, who is supported through the work of Action Aid.  If your child would like to take part, we request that s/he brings a minimum of £1 contribution. Thank you.

World Book Day

You should have received your child's World Book Day voucher earlier this week.  These were sent out after World Book Day to avoid confusion with our Book Fair.

Staff Vacancies

We are still seeking Road Crossing patrols and Midday Supervisors.  These are both important posts within our school.  The Road Crossing Patrols provide assistance at key points near to school at the beginning and end of the day.  Full training, equipment and uniform are all provided by the county Council.

Our Midday Supervisors support the children over the lunchbreak.  They look after them in the hall while they are eating, and then supervise them on the playground afterwards.

If you are interested in either of these posts, or if you know someone who might want to apply, please call in for further details.
