Operation Christmas Child

If you would like to fill a shoebox with gifts for Operation Christmas Child, please see the leaflet that was sent home for details of what to include. Spare leaflets are available from the Office, and there is also a website which you can find at www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk. This contains full information and a video. Please remember to wrap the lid separately from the box so that the contents can be checked at the warehouse. The boxes need to be returned before 14th November, please.

Children in Need

The Friends’ Association will, as usual, be supporting Children in Need on Friday 20th November. The children are welcome to wear something spotty on this day and to make a donation to the collection made by the Friends.

Kidscape

Zoe Mansell is holding an Open Day to raise money for the anti-bullying charity Kidscape. This will take place on 7th November from 12 noon – 4pm at Unit 18, Innsworth Technology

Park, Innsworth Lane. There will be a marquee, pig roast, bouncy castle, face painting and cheerleaders, as well as a raffle with fantastic prizes such as a luxury golf day for 4, sat nav, motor race day for 4, free hairdressing for a year, car servicing, Virgin Active pass for a month and many more. We shall be using some resources and ideas from Kidscape during Anti-Bullying Week in November. Their website can be found at www.kidscape.org.uk/

Royal Visit

The Queen is making a visit to Gloucester on Friday. If you would like to go and welcome her, then you would need to be at the Gloucester Docks basin by 11.15am. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will arrive at Roman Quay at 11.30am. They board a patrol boat which will take them to the docks where they will turn round slowly and you will get the best view at 11.50am before the boat moors at Gloucestershire College.

Staffing

Today we said goodbye to Mrs Veck, who has been working in the infants over the last year. Mrs Veck was presented with gifts at lunchtime, and leaves with our thanks and best wishes.

Photographs

Please return all orders for photographs to the Office by Friday 6th November.
